Grilled Lemon Shandy

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup
  • Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup
  • Water
  • 3 ea
  • Lemons
  • 4 bottles
  • Pale ale beer

Procedure

  1. Combine water and sugar in a glass bowl and microwave for 2 minutes. Stir with a spoon to fully dissolve sugar. Cover the simple syrup and place in the refrigerator to cool.
  2. Cut lemons in half, place on a heated grill and char the cut sides of the lemons for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Juice the lemons and strain seeds out, combine with chilled simple syrup.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup of the grilled lemon simple syrup in the bottom of a beer glass. Pour the beer over the syrup and serve with a lemon wedge.
